The Brooklands Group, one of the largest exhibition organisers in the UK, approached us for help with their online strategy to generate ticket sales and sell exhibitor space at A Place in the Sun Live!, an exhibition based on the Channel 4 TV series A Place in the Sun.
Initially we designed and built a website for the exhibition which was advertised at the end of the TV programme and through other media. Within three months of the site launching we were able to improve the websites rankings with the search engines to the No 1 spot on Google, Yahoo and MSN for a broad range of key search terms.
We also managed the creation and distribution of their e-newsletters as well the ongoing verification of the data itself. Every email was tracked and we provided detailed analysis on who had opened the email, when they had opened it and where in the site they had visited allowing us to better tailor future communiqués.
Through careful and clever purchasing of ‘paid for’ listings in the search engines, we were able to generate and track 13,000 targeted leads to the website leading to over £20,000 worth of ticket sales.
The first A Place In the Sun Live! was an enormous success with more than 21,000 visitors over the exhibition weekend. The Brooklands Group subsequently won “Best launch exhibition” at the Event awards 2005.
